Alfredo Angulo- victim of too much hype

Alfredo Angulo got beat by Kermit Cintron on saturday night, and he is a classic example of an unproven prospect getting too much hype and going to quickly up through the ranks. His slow come right out you face first defense doesn't work against a good fighter like Kermit Cintron. I believe that his people thought that Alfredo Angulo would have beaten a good fighter like Cintron and they would have had a big name on his resume. They were dead wrong. Cintron did start to tire after around the 8th round as he stopped pumping his jab and Anuglo was starting to land a bit more. He came up short though as the judges were in agreement that he lost, 116-112.

Angulo got thrown in too quickly and never had the chance to work on his boxing skills and working on being a complete fighter. Everybody talked about him, hyping him as "Mexico's next big star" and he got exposed. Last year, it was Amir Khan, who really got exposed after a first round KO, and he got thrown in to quickly against another young up and coming good fighter. Khan got a lot of hype and he fell flat on his face. This year, Alfredo Angulo. Next year might be the same thing, a young up and coming fighter who isn't ready yet might get exposed.
